Our History- How did we get to where we are

The church was planted in September 2009 - officially meeting for the first time in a living room in Chorleywood.

The Presence of God, experienced and pursued often through worship, has always been a priority.

We started meeting publicly for evening services in the dance studio at Preston Manor School in Wembley. From there we graduated to the main hall at Preston Manor School and then in the church’s 5th year we moved to the Ark Academy in Wembley, right near the Stadium.

As the church started to grow so too did the conference equipping ministry in the UK and internationally. Most weekends teams were up and down the country sharing the values and leading times of encounter and healing in all kinds of different churches. To this day, people every week from Catch The Fire London are in other churches releasing revelation of what He has given.

The School of Ministry also started, interns came and gave a year of their life to growing in God and in their identities. The ‘schools of the heart’ began and inner healing started expanding, alpha and new believer ministry started to grow too.

We stayed ‘in the Ark' for 5 years. In that time we started a second service, this time in the morning and started welcoming more families with kids. God grew us by adding young adult ministries, prophetic teams, inner healing and a growing worship community.

We hit our 10th birthday just before the global pandemic hit. Like so many churches we went online with our services and ministries and started to grow an online congregation that is still active to this day.

By Summer 2021 we were able to meet in person and moved the church location to Pinner. We have now started to put down roots in this area, seeking to impact this area, while also continuing to pour into London through market place ministries and sharing the values. Dwell evenings have released a new format of vertical praise and adoration on Monday evenings.

Catch The Fire London is part of the global Catch The Fire World movement that originated in Toronto after the outpouring of the Spirit there in 1994 that has continued to affect millions of people since.
